Questions parents ask
+Is Nepal Bhasa the same as Newari?
Yes — Nepal Bhasa (नेपाल भाषा) is the language's own name; "Newari" is the widely used English name. It's the classical language of the Newar people of the Kathmandu Valley, with a rich literary and cultural tradition.
+Is Nepal Bhasa the same as Nepali?
No. Despite the similar name, Nepal Bhasa is a completely different language — it belongs to the Sino-Tibetan family, while Nepali is Indo-Aryan. It shares the Devanagari script (and has its own Ranjana script), which makes it approachable to read.
+Is it free?
Nepali Gurukul is free to join, but the Newa World (Nepal Bhasa) is a Premium heritage-language experience — a Premium subscription unlocks the full track along with the rest of the platform.
+Can my child learn even if I only speak a little Nepal Bhasa?
Yes. Every word is tapped to hear the correct pronunciation, and GURU guides each step — so children can learn even when the parent's own Nepal Bhasa is limited.
+How accurate is the content?
The core words come from a Nepal Bhasa children's primer and a published phrasebook, and were rebuilt in a careful accuracy pass. Some newer units are still being reviewed by native speakers before they're treated as final.
